Trump is panicking. I hope Walmart doesn’t cave.

Walmart has a pretty brutal culture. I’m sure the upper management there has overwhelmingly supported Trump. Now it’s FAFO Time!

I thought China was paying the tariffs?

Trump is —only now — beginning to understand how “tariffs “ work. I don’t think he’s quite figured out what “trade deficits” mean. I hope Walmart stands firm here. What exactly is Trump’s “I’ll be watching” threat intended to suggest?

On the other side, Walmart presumably knew what they were getting with Trump. I hope they have a plan for this. Customers with tight budgets will shop accordingly, and Walmart will be one of the first businesses to feel it.

Get ready people - MAGA is about to see who they voted for. Maybe they will finally see that He does NOT care about everyday American citizens.

It's fine for the Trump family to take peoples money for $Trump and Trump bibles, but Walmart should voluntarily forego profits because why?

Yep, what’s interesting is that the “finding out” is impacting Walmart — not just their customers.

A leader "ordering" a private business is socialism or fascism, no?

So much for laissez-faire economics that conservatives are so fond of touting. But we all know Trump is no conservative.

Net retail margins are tiny. Walmart will either raise prices or pull products. They're not going to lose money.

I was told about 20 years ago by liberals that Walmart's low prices were bad. "The High Cost of Low Prices"

Walmart will just inch the prices of slowly 5% at a time and Americans will eat it.

Obviously they did absolutely nothing. Especially not increase the minimum wage.
