Hosting a Memorial Day bbq/grilled food for a bunch of friends.
When you go to a bbq, what do you hope to see (food wise). There something special you get jazzed about? Thanks! |
| Potato salad |
| Coleslaw and the burger itself (if that's what you're actually doing). |
That isn't barbecue. |
|
Another vote for potato salad.
And if there is anything green, especially salad, I'm the one eating it. |
| Ribs |
| Pulled pork. |

I like potato salad, but am wary about it and may avoid if I think it may have been left out too long or not be kept cold long enough. Pasta salad is a close second, and I don’t feel I need to worry excessively about food safety with it.
I like watermelon. Really, the best part are the cheeseburgers. While I certainly don’t expect it, ice cream would be wonderful. |

If it’s actually barbecue you are asking about, I love soy curls with bbq sauce. YUM.
If you are asking about a cookout, I love macaroni salad, then potato salad, then veggie burger with fresh tomato, fresh lettuce, pickle. |

Really good mac and cheese
Pulled pork potato salad and hear me out - really good hotdogs |

No potato salad and no baked beans

Not sure if you mean you are serving barbecue or if you are grilling out stuff like burgers, dogs, etc.
IMO I am most excited to see they’ve put out the toppings and extras necessary to make a burger or dog good. The onions, pickles, relish, ketchup, mustard, etc. The worst is just a plain, charred burger. Likewise, a couple simple sides but make them delicious. the classics are classics for a reason, after all. |
