Carla Hayden was the Librarian of Congress. She was abruptly fired today by a president who likely lacks the capacity to even understand the intricacies of her job. Hayden was well-respected in her prior role heading the Enoch Pratt library system in Baltimore. She brought her competence and enthusiasm with her to the LoC. Trump — and those who write the Executive Orders for him to sign, seem determined to create a new Dark Ages for the rest of us while they revel in plundering the resources of our nation. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-fires-librarian-of-congress-carla-hayden_n_681d5cdee4b0a178bc00183f |
I know that this is a tiny tiny thing in the face of burgeoning destruction, but these a-holes fired her by email, addressing her by her first name. Racist belittling a-holes stayed in character for this one.

Now he can replace her with somebody who will use federal tax dollars to purchase thousands of copies of Don Junior's books. Brilliant! |
Dark ages? Moar drama queen. |
She was in her job for eight years. The first woman and the first Black to hold the position. I think we all know why she was fired. |
What a nasty piece of business. At least have the balls to fire the woman in person you cowards. Small balls. |
Just one cruel, racist, misogynist flex after another.
It's really a bad idea to put attention-guzzling sociopaths in charge of governments. |
Fox News host Julie Banderas just released a new children’s book, so she’s a leading candidate. |
Anything to keep Americans from being educated |
What exactly is racist and misogynistic about this? She's also very old and should retire to let millennials and younger lead |
Oh right -- like Trump. |
Exactly. She is 6 years younger than Trump. |
Maybe if she had a DUI they'd keep her. |
The Library of Congress is in the legislative, not executive, branch.
He legally can’t do this.where TF is Congress?? Hello Schumer??? |
When your racism drills all the way down the the Librarian of Congress... |
