I can't help but notice the absence of the Catholic MAGA crowd commenting on the new Pope. He's an American from Chicago, guys! Why aren't you commenting about your great happiness at finally having an American Pope?
Truly, the above is tongue-in-cheek. I think I know why MAGAs are not commenting. They are not happy with the choice. They know it's a slap in the face to Trump. |
Man I gotta say, of all the actual catholics that really care one way or another, the first place they're going to talk about it is not on DCUM. I know you're excited to troll etc but give people a few minutes to hear the news. jesus. |
Jesus? I take it PP is not Catholic. |
Because they know he’s a kiddy diddler. |
I mean….its the elephant in the room. Their silence is pretty telling. |
He’s a Republican from Chicago. MAGA are ecstatic, but they don’t hang out on DCUM. Try X. |
Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney are also republicans. |
They’re Rhinos. Hardly a comparison. |
+1 Seriously OP, have you seen Twitter?! It’s like Trump won all over again the magas are so excited. |
Maga are here a lot. I doubt they are ecstatic, not on X either |
Get on X, there’s been a ton of discussion among catholic republicans. Not sure how you’re missing it. Most are in wait and see mode. |
MAGA are not ecstatic. That is ridiculous. First of all, they were hoping for a big pendulum swing and instead the Cardinals chose someone from Pope Francis's inner circle. A lot of people are expecting that Pope Leo will continue in the vein of Pope Francis, just not as fast (I know, I know).
Secondly, he cares deeply about migrants and specifically has criticized this administration. |
I am MAGA and I am Catholic, and I am thrilled that a new Pope has been elected and thrilled that he’s American. I’m not sure what you want all the Maga supporters to say? Something tells me that you would dump on MAGA matter what they say, or even if they say nothing. You folks need to find a candidate more impressive than Kamala Harris and find a positive, substantive message other than division politics distain for Trump, or you are going to be a permanent minority party. |
