Is putting mayonaise on a hamburger a lower class thing?

Anonymous
Burgers are already so rich and the trendy buns are buttery brioche style. Who clamors for extra fat from mayo? Acidity from a little mustard and pickles is really all a rich burger needs. Onions, tomato and lettuce if you want, I guess. I genuinely don't understand how mayo elevates a burger in any way.

Asking because we ordered an office lunch and all the burgers arrived with a mayo-based sauce on them as standard. Uh, why?!

You are a snob. That explains your revulsion and superiority complex.

It was probably a hot/spicy mayo based sauce, or something added to mayo to make it hot. You see a lot of this on menus. This is different than just putting plain mayo on a burger.

I can't anymore....with these idiotic posts.

If she was a true snob she would look down her nose and people who don't put lettuce and tomato on a burger. I mean, just burger, mustard and pickle screams McDonald's.

Having class-anxiety about mayo on a hamburger is laughably NC. You can like what you like

If find them entertaining, and frankly enlightening. A reminder that there are so many different beliefs in this world.

If you are already eating a burger for lunch, you do not have a leg to stand on complaining about mayo. Spicy mayo-based sauces are often used in place of ketchup. If you hate mayo, order it without, but don't make it a weird class thing.

why are you working in such a low class office?

Creating fake questions to trash things you don't like is a low class thing.

Load up you burger with all the mayonnaise you want. Throw a slice of Spam on it too. Go wild because you're already as low class as it gets.

Because not everyone likes what you like, OP. You and your tastes don’t get to decide for everyone else what a burger “needs”. Maybe you’re used to fatty ground beef vs lean? I notice that you eschew ketchup as well. Perhaps you would have been happier with the Turkey sandwich?

Eating a burger is low class, OP. You didn’t know?

Why are you working? Are you poor?

LOL...OP has opinions, and no one else should have opinions that are different.

Noted!
