I bet most people wouldn't walk into a hotel room that looks like this, but they charge over $3k a week for this grandma cottage?

| Looks perfectly fine, if overpriced, but then it's near a beach and will find renters. |
| That is the opposite of nasty. |
| Poor people go on vacation too, moneybags. |
| Ocean block. $3k is cheap for a week stay. OP, go stay out in the highway at the econolodge where you belong. |
|
You come off as a horribly entitled wretch, OP. This dwelling does NOT look nasty. It's clean and has all the essentials.
Shame on you. |
|
Jack Lingo is not a good company to rent from.
|
| Are you kidding me? Have you seen some of the rowhouses in DC where people live 24/7? My first time to see such poverty coming from SU. This vacation house is fine. |
|
I know this property. It is worse than the photos.
Air doesn't work. Mold Yes close to the beach which is great, however there are better properties in same area. |
| Allows dogs...not sure if that is common. |
| I bet some of the appeal is that it is dog friendly. Nice to not have to board. |
| It’s not pretty but “nasty” is a stretch. |
|
OP,
You have something against this landlord? Sounds like you have. |
| You get what you pay for. Unfortunately, a decent rental is minimum $7K/week for the summer. Usually closer to $10K. It's insane, but what can you do? I've often wondered why people just don't fly to a Caribbean all-inclusive -- it would actually be cheaper. But then again, we spend the $10K every year (despite me bringing up the Caribbean option), so I guess convenience matters a lot. |
| Seems fine for what it is. 3K for a place that allows pets 2 streets from the beach isn't going to get you a high end place. It's dated and I would bet a bit musty, but I would hardly call it nasty. |
