Recieved offer after last nights tryout
Only 48 hrs to decide??? |
| Wait is that normal? My kid has two tryouts like a month apart. |
| 48 hours is the norm |
| It’s probably because they aren’t expanding the roster for that age group because they have already been playing 9v9. Any kid that they give an offer to and excepts means someone on the team won’t get a roster spot So they probably want to know asap so they can tell the kid that is being moved down. The 14s and 16s both are expanding rosters because they are going to 9v9 and 11v11 |
| Very normal. You can ask for more time if your kid is solid. |
|
Ask for more time. That is standard though.
The better you kid is, the more time they will give if they want them. |
| We are a current 2015 family (not pre-academy) and we do not have our offers yet, so they are definitely front loading so they can adjust the rosters. |
Been in 2 different clubs…. Every year this is normal. It sucks, but that is the reality. If you skip the offer, they move on to the next kid. |
| Girls or boys? |
| Any word on the 2014s? |
| They all say 48 hours. If they really like your kid they will hold a spot for them for a lot longer than that. But try not to drag it out for too much longer after the last tryout for that age group. |
If this is true, this is bad on club to not have relayed a timing of offers to current team members. We have not been told anything. -Arlington parent |
My DC got a 2014 pre academy 1 offer this am by email We are still considering trying out other places over the next week, but as the op mentioned the 48-hour response time may push us to accept |
| What does pre academy 1 mean? |
Assuming top team |
