What percentage of the opposite sex do you think are objectively attractive?

And how has this changed over time?

In college and in my early 20s, I would have described 1/3rd of the men my age as objectively attractive. Meaning that I could see women going for these guys even if they weren't my cup of tea. In my late 30s, I'd say that percentage has dropped to under 10%.

I couldn’t tell you the percentage because I have no idea how large the denominator is. Zero clue. They’re completely off my radar.

I don't really care how many are objectively attractive. Everybody can be subjectively attractive (or unattractive) depending upon their personality.

There, I've said it. If you are nice to me I'll think you are good looking.

Maybe 1 out of 10 men in their 40-50s are attractive to me.
I actually find myself looking at women more and find female more attractive now that I’m in my 40s.
Men I dated told me I wax a solid 9.5-10 on their scale. But I always have to “adjust” to something in his looks I find unattractive: beer belly, some degree of boldness, oily skin, yellowing teeth etc.

Women take are of themselves much better imho

I agree.

After 30, probably 1 in 50 women. If they gave even half a f*ck about their appearance, worked out a little, and ate a healthy diet, it would be more like 1 in 2, maybe even 2/3. But they sabotage themselves just like we men do.

so, would a healthy, in shape 40 year old woman in khakis and a polo and no makeup be attractive?
Or do you need women to be in a skirt and form fitting shirt and heels with makeup? or tight fitting active wear?
I'm guessing the latter, because I NEVER see men looking at simple, low maintenance, conservatively dressed women (even if they are beautiful)

Definitely. I'm conservative by temperament, so I think that example is a home run.

This is definitely a you thing. Now that I’ve aged, I’d say at least half of all women between 30-60 are attractive to me. Sometimes it’s just things like a friendly attitude, a happy face, some flair or style - it’s not all about figure you know.

Well, in a sense, I agree. Because I dress neatly, work out a little, eat a healthy diet, and am not overweight, I find those same things attractive in women. If you're finding half of women aged 30-60 attractive because of "happy face" well...that's usually a sign that you've already given up on your health.

It depends on where you hang out. I’m a woman and would say 70% of the ladies at Equinox objectively have really nice bodies.
On the street in WV town or Minneapolis 1 out of 100 looks decent and in shape

Objectively? 5% of humans.

You're comparing mid westerners out on the street to people visiting luxury gyms? Ya think?

Where do you live? I don’t think it’s the DMV.
