Lingerie Question

I'm dating a new guy who like lingerie. It's never been my thing but I'm happy to give it a go. But I don't get it. I realize it's visual for the man. But after I put the babydoll or bustier on, then what? Do we go about making dinner? Watch a movie? I seriously can't put on a piece of clothing only for it to be taken off 10 min later--or is that the point? I need someone to explain this to me like I'm 3 and don't understand why I need to wear a coat in the winter when we're going from the house to the car.

It’s like gift-wrapping a present, adds some anticipation, and improves foreplay. Make sure you wear heels if you do your dinner idea, which I like.

Why can’t you wear it for just ten minutes if that’s what works for both of you that time?

After date night I usually go "freshen up" and change into a g-string or flimsy thong. Not the kind of thing I'd wear all day but for 5 minutes sure. Also it lasts longer if you wear it for only a little bit.

Sometimes will do "chores" in just that too, and yes I have some heels for this as well.

The question is who buys it - you at his request or him? If it’s something he asks for he should get your size and bring it. I only wear what I like for myself or nothing
Leather sets, bustiers etc can run up thousands particular something fancy

Thousands, really? Nobody here is considering that. $50-100 gets it done. Even a $10 dollar fishnet body stocking can be fun.

Put it on and make him a cocktail. Sit next to him and flirt. He will take care of the rest

There are also items that don’t need to be taken off.

Lingerie doesn't need to be taken off quickly. I love wearing lingerie because I feel good wearing it and also because my husband likes it.

I buy items that can be worn under an outfit and will send my husband a picture with a text like what's hotter me or your steak. It's about the anticipation leading up to the main course ( sex). Once we get home we're both ready for foreplay etc. The outfit stays on till we're done.

I have a massive lingerie collection. DH isn’t into put it on just to be taken off. He likes to know I have it on all day or evening while out. Or to put something on in preparation if we of a longer more intense session, And he hates the cheap stuff.

It is a tease or as he puts the perfect frame for what I have.

I'm with you OP. Spouse likes it, but it never stays on very long. Kind of a waste of $$ if you ask me

From a male perspective, I sort of like to having sex while partner is still wearing her thong (just slide it to the side and take it from there)

It depends on the lingerie. A babydoll or nice chemise is a costume change before the main event. A bustier, certain types of corsetry, or a fancy bra/panty/stocking set can be worn under clothing, with either photos or selectively-revealing clothing letting him know there's more to see without revealing the whole treat (loose/low cut shirt, short skirt, etc.).

It's foreplay either way. Either you're dressing up for the role and then performing the tease as part of bedroom fun, or you're teasing outside the bedroom and then getting to the goods once there.

Yeah my BF generally leaves it on. IME it does not need to be removed.

The cheap stuff is for ripping off. Think bodystockings or mesh/net. For anything you're going to want to play in, make sure it's not polyester/plastic, unless that's what you're into.

I'm fine with silk on my skin. I don't want cheap poly with itchy seams.
