Trendy Restaurants: Help!

Anonymous
I need to know some of the most trendy, fun, happening restaurants in DC right now.

We have visitors coming and we have to wow them for a number of reasons.

We are boring and rarely go out. Help!

I’ve always wondered whether Eater was accurate. Has anyone followed what they suggest?

Trendy and happening in DC can mean great decor but mediocre food. I suggest go for our stars like Joe's. https://www.joes.net/washington-dc. or Inn of Little Washington / Patti O's. There's also Yellow in Georgetown, Fiola or their Spanish one at the wharf.

What city are they coming from, OP? That will make a difference.

We recently loved Lutece, but I wouldn’t take someone from NYC there. Seems similar to a lot of places.

Anju or Onggi for Korean

Is there a type of cuisine you’re looking for?

I love Joe’s but it’s not a place you take to wow people.

Only the Omakase. I tried their sushi a couple of times and they are on par with Rakuya.

It all depending on your guests. What kind of places they go out to eat at home?
