So does nobody work Fridays anymore?

I SAH and try to run all my errands M-Th because lately I have noticed that shopping on Fridays it might as well be Sat or Sun as far as crowds are concerned. Do people just not work Fridays any more? My husband certainly does, and works a full day at that. Yes I know next week is off school for many, but I notice this often on Fridays, not just today.

Yeah I've noticed to lunchtime is the worst time to go out to the stores too.

Same but was sick all week and had to run to tjmaxx to get something for a trip. Packed!! Same with homegoods and I passed over 66 on the way home jammed both ways at 2pm.

Yes, I try to keep my meetings light on both Mondays and Fridays (my wfh days) so I can do laundry, errands and organizational stuff before/after the weekend.

I work every Friday. From home, where I do my best work. I will be popping out for a pedicure on my lunch hour but that's a rare occurrence.

A lot of my coworkers work 4/10 schedules so are off on Fridays.

Yep, and with RTO, there is a major uptick in 5/4/9 or whatever schedules.

A lot of my coworkers work 4/10s with Fridays off, plus there have been a ton of school holidays and breaks. My kid was off about a third of the Fridays in the last couple months.

So many of my friends are choosing to work 4-10s now that they are fulltime RTO.

My office closes at 2 PM on Friday. Just a fun little perk they started offering in January 2021 after we succesfully weathered the pandemic

I'm allowed to work from home one day a week. I typically pick Friday, as do most of my colleagues, as Friday is the encouraged work from home day.

Everyone got laid off. Sorry for the inconvenience to you!

I WFH (so does my DH) and we’ll often go out to lunch on Fridays. I’ll also sometimes fit in a Target run or a trip to the grocery store sometime on Friday before the crush of the weekend. So yeah, OP, we’re all trying to do what you do!

It's the Friday before spring break, or start of it in some places. I got SO many out of office email bouncebacks today, I think it's more than usual.

Me? I'm taking the next two Mondays off. After my 2.5 hour commute each way, I'm really looking forward to it!
