Anti-theists are like…

Firefighter who starts fires.
They hate religion so much, they keep it alive by fighting it.
Without their pointless questions, half the debate would die out.
True Atheist/ Agnostic would be ignoring it.

They say “I don’t care about religion” then they write 10 pages about it.

If you could only agree to practice your religion without imposing it on the rest of us, you'd get a different response.

I didn’t know the difference between Atheist and Anti-theists until recently.
It’s good to know Atheists are not actively practicing but Anti-theist are.

You are the problem.

I had a childfree friend who acted very similar towards everything children related. She would constantly say things like: "children will wat you up", "I aged so well because I don't have kids", "I can't imagine why people would want to have kid" and yada yada. But when she was very ill and dying from cancer, she really opened up and told me she had a very late stage abortion when she was young and she never got over it.

I truly think those anti-theist mainly have some bad religion/church experience at some point in their lives that was traumatizing enough, and they cannot let it go. Otherwise, I have plenty atheist friends who could care less about religion and my beliefs. They will even come to my church to look at the iconography, like if they visited the art gallery.

Anti-theists are not "actively practicing", like religious people who attend weekly services. Anti-theism is a point of view. They are people who are against god, rather than simply being non-believers, like atheists. All anti-theists are atheists, but not all atheists are anti-theists. It's kind of like all Episcopalians are Christian, but not all Christians are Episcopalian.

I think that theists (religious people) often think that atheists are anti-theists because they, religious people, that is, often assume that someone who is not religious is against religion. Obviously that is not the case, as has been evidenced on this forum.

Also, it often seems that some theists think that anyone who disagrees with them about the existence of God is a bad person. This is also not the case.

+1. Stop trying to force beliefs on others, whether directly or indirectly.

How are people imposing their religions on you? Are you getting baptized on the sidewalk?

Back at ya!
Your religion of “self” is such a cancer and you don’t even realize how destructive it is.

You mean beliefs such as terminating a life inside the womb isn’t the same type of murder as terminating a life outside the womb?…or beliefs such as boys can magically declare themselves to be girls and vice versa?

Oh wait…those are YOUR “religious beliefs” that you are imposing on others. And those are okay…got it.

No sidewalk baptism offers, just general disdain. People of different religions, in the US, at least, tend to be nice to each other, but if you say you're an atheist, people become cool - or try to convert you.
