Anti-theists are not "actively practicing", like religious people who attend weekly services.  Anti-theism is a point of view. They are  people who are against god, rather than simply being non-believers, like atheists.  All anti-theists are atheists, but not all atheists are anti-theists.   It's kind of like all Episcopalians are Christian, but not all Christians are Episcopalian.

I think that theists (religious people) often think that atheists are anti-theists because they, religious people, that is, often assume that someone who is not religious is against religion.  Obviously that is not the case, as has been evidenced on this forum.

Also, it often seems that some theists think that anyone who disagrees with them about the existence of God is a bad person.  This is also not the case.[/quote]
