| How do they compare? Which the most elite? The most fun? |
|
Mid, Wes, Davidson, all great schools. Visit and see which you like most.
Denison might be too, I don't know it. |
| Crowdsourcing personal opinion - I’d say Wesleyan and Middlebury are about even with an edge to Wes. IMO |

Davidson
Midd Wes Denison |
+1 The first three are quite similar, with fine distinctions. If cost is on par, I'd visit all three and let DC choose. Denison wouldn't be in the game. |

I think they are close to equal for “elite ness” though older people may not know Denison. It’s more of an up and comer than the others.
As for fun, I think it depends on what you’re into. I’d visit and choose on gut feeling. There’s no wrong or right answer. |
| Davidson and Middlebury are the most “elite” academically, with Davidson having a strong Southern prestige and rigorous academics, while Middlebury excels in languages, environmental studies, and outdoor culture. Wesleyan is the most artsy and progressive, attracting creative, independent students, while still maintaining strong academics. Denison is a bit more of a hidden gem, up-and-coming in prestige with great merit aid, a growing national reputation, and a balance of academics and social life. In terms of fun, Wesleyan and Denison might offer the most lively social scenes, with Wesleyan’s artsy, alternative vibe and Denison’s strong Greek life. Middlebury and Davidson are more outdoorsy and traditional but still have close-knit, engaged communities. |
| We found Wes the least impressive, but if you’re artsy, it’s great. Middlebury is most elite, seen by its outcomes. Davidson is good. Decision is fine. |

Midd
Davidson Wes Denison Four great schools, there is no bad answer. If you want to go to Wall Street then Midd is the leader. If you want to have great opportunities in the South along with D1 sports look to Davidson. Looking to work in Chicagoland, then Denison has a great reputation. Want an artsy, intellectual environment with great placement into grad schools you cannot go wrong with Wesleyan. |
thanks gpt for regurgitating the conventional wisdom without adding any insight or personal experience. |

This analysis assigned Middlebury a Career Outcomes Rank of #124, when compared among colleges and universities nationally: https://wallethub.com/edu/e/college-rankings/40750 |
And we should all give serious consideration to the prestigious and well-respected Wallethub ranking. |
Viewers who wish to examine the Career Outcomes section of the site may want to consider it by its underlying sources: "Data used to create this ranking were collected as of September 16, 2024 from National Center for Education Statistics, Council for Community and Economic Research, U.S. Department of Education, COLLEGEdata and PayScale." |
This sounds like a Junior asking a question. |
