It's going to be worse than that once the Medicaid cuts get enacted.
A lot of the Mayor and Council's pet projects are going to have to be cut. Hope they are up for it. |
| How many speed cameras will that take to offset? |
| At least there won’t be traffic to complain about. |
| They'll just raise taxes. |
No problem. We'll just put in more revenue, er, speed cameras. |
Sounds like the perfect time to jam a new NFL stadium at RFK down the throats of DC taxpayers. Sincerely, Muriel Bowser |
Don't threaten me with a good time |
But there will be no MD or VA drivers to fleece. Rich DC residents ride bikes. Poor DC residents don't get charged the full fee. Womp womp. |
Lots of poor D.C. residents ride bikes, too, but apparently cooks and busboys commuting to work are invisible to you. |
Most poor ride the bus or take Metro. They are not the ones in cycling suits on the bike lanes. |
| Interesting to see the comments to this thread. It’s amazing how many people hate the District an seem to be gloating over its decline. It should be the cultural capital of the region. But Americans hate their cities and love their crappy suburbs. |
| They're going to "Detroit" this city. |
Loved DC until the pathetic response to the crime wave of 2021-2023. |
It will bring new jobs that could employ all those federal workers! Imagine all the TPS reports you need on a project that big. |
