My husband only buys store brand food and I may need to weep

His latest "purchase" is 365 brand chocolate brownie ice cream, which tastes like a bag of gravel mixed with sludge.
Last week, he came home with Trader Joe's version of Honey Nut Cheerios, which are depressingly bland. To say nothing of the Stop & Shop Queso he tried to pass off at a recent party.
I AM ENRAGED!

Okay, you need to calm down. You live everyday like this?

Most store brand stuff is totally fine just cheaper. He is the smart one in your family.

365 and Trader Joe’s versions are 100% better than the originals.

Also, are you 12? Brownie ice cream, sugary cereal, queso?

Whole Foods, TJ, Giant - how much time does your husband to go to all these stores to get random stuff?

Does he do the bulk of the grocery shopping or does he just pick out some junk food for snacking? Are any of these items something you asked him to purchase, by brand name? Those answers make a difference in my opinion.

I find that *some* 365 and TJ products are good.

But I have a similar problem with my husband: he buys everything on sale, and will come home with large quantities of a new-to-us product, most of which I end up hating. They linger in the kitchen for ever because they're low quality and no one eats them. He can never resist a sale. He doesn't listen when I say" If it's new, only buy ONE box".

And since he hates waste, it can never go in the trash, no. I believe there's a hoard of expired pantry items that he swears he will finish one day. Taking up space in my kitchen.

Grr.

The OP is not the wife. It is the 14 year old bratty daughter.

I would be too since he is spending money at Whole Foods, which owned by that dipshit Bezos.

My exh would do this too. Ex.

Why do you eat so much processed food OP? So much that you’ve developed a palate for certain brands of processed foods over other processed foods? You both sound gross to be honest.

Why do you let him purchase this crap? Get a personal chef to cover it. Certainly you can afford it.

Why do you say “purchase” in quotes? Did he shoplift these items?

I don't think your marriage will last much longer if this is what you rage about.
