| Has anyone heard what's happening with the girl's 2012/2011s for next year? Are they still borrowing Sterling teams to round out or will Herndon not be in ECNL-RL anymore for girls? |
In that case, yep. He played on one of those RL teams. The coach had a bad attitude and seemed completely disengaged. |
THe one thing HYS is NOT doing is getting more numbers... boys and girls. People are leaving |
They are required to field girls teams in order to field the boys teams. I don’t see what other option they have for next year. |
I guess they could switch to MLS B team and Aspire. |
I don’t have any faith in club leadership to get out ahead of any problems. If not forming girls team puts their ECNLRL status in jeopardy it feels like they will realize that way too late and just say “oops” to everyone who already paid for next year. |
| I don't know anyone planning on coming back next year for more of this so no kids= no teams, problem solved |
Sterling sent out an email today about tryouts for next year. They are still doing the partnership with Herndon. |
| Can you post the email? Herndon never publicly admitted to anyone they were even in this partnership. |

| thank you |
the big question is whether the Sterling players who are playing on Herndon teams will continue to pay 1/2 the amount that Herndon travel players are paying or will they be required to pay the full amount that Herndon travel players are charged to wear the HYS uniforms and play on Herndon teams in ENCL-R |
| I thought two of the teams were all Sterling girls playing as Herndon. I didn't think the teams mixed the players. |
Right, the teams aren’t mixed. They’re all either one club or the other. |
| I don't think the majority of the Sterling girls will be back. None of them were told they were playing as Herndon last year until after they were committed. No one wanted that. Most will not do it a second year. |
