Dp- not a swiftie, but that is an obvious yes. She is doing a GREATEST HITS tour. Right now. In her prime. She is 33? Or there abouts and she has been dominant since the aughts.. She’s in the Michael Jackson, Madonna, level of stardom. She’s a legend and she’s not 35. I’m not sure how I feel about her music. I don’t think it’s for me, but that’s irrelevant. She’s made it. She will have different levels of success, but she’s with us till she’s gone. Oh wait… just googled. 2026 is 20 years since her first hit… she’ll be 37? 20 years dominating and not even 40. Tina Turner ( RIP QUEEN) was in her 40’s when she made her big solo come back. It’s (Taylor’s) just an insane journey of extreme longevity for a career that treats artists as one use disposals. Crazy. |
| We are talking about Travis and Taylor now but I have a feeling that we will be talking about Taylor and a new guy on DCUM by next April. |
These days, all the young kids start out that way: the Disney channel started all these artists off really young (Timberlake, Miley cyrus, Cristina, Britney etc) so they could grab the tween/teen kids and their parents money. That way when the artists go on to adulthood, the commercial money making machine is already in place. Her longevity has little to do with her brilliance and everything to do with 1. Her stable parents and 2. Marketing and commercialization of her product. |
It really doesn’t matter… Like PP just said… She is 33 and is so prolific. She has broken records that will take decades for others to break in terms of concert sales, tickets sales, movie sales, hit songs, albums sold, Grammys won and on and on. Few musicians in history have reached anywhere near the level of success that she has reached and few will ever reach it in the decades to come. She has already secured legend status. I’m sure at some point she will slow down, but I could see her still continuing to put out music for several more years, just maybe not at this pace. I am sure just like countless other artists fans will go see her perform these same songs in her 40s, 50s, and beyond - look at all the musicians still touring in their 60s and 70s. |
Creative does not equal intellectual types. I think Taylor is pleasantly surprised to be the partner of a man's man. Those other boys were pretty and soft. |
Oh, come on you’re comparing her to Justin Timberlake? Please. He is no longer making new music because his last albums bombed. If it weren’t for the trolls movies and Britney’s abortion, absolutely no one would be talking about him lol and even with that I’m not sure many people are. |
I like Taylor and Travis, even though they're playing it up for the public, but you have to be drinking the Koolaid to think he was all, What?! What just happened?!!! Come on. |
No he said he knew about the line (eg she had joked/sang it in private) but was shocked she actually sang it at the concert. |
DP- Oh I totally believe he was surprised Because she has everything planned out to a T! so for her to go off a script like that with something they have joked about in private…shocking not only to him, but to her dancers! |
Right- sorry Taylor stands alone. Everyone loves her. There need be no other opinion or reason other than Taylor and her talent. Sorry I forgot the lines there for a minute. |
I think yes. But I don’t think her music career will be as prolific in the coming decades. She’s mastered it. She’s “won” so to speak, she owns all her own music now. I think her fan base and listenership will have a lot of longevity too. I hope she puts out a pure rock record at some point so I’ll be waiting for that. I personally think she will take a lengthy break after this to start a family even though I hope it’s not with Travis Kelce but whatever, they’ll be gorgeous talented Amazonian babies. Why else would she do an Eras tour of all her music if it wasn’t a victory lap to deliver a sense of culmination and finality? She could have had just as much success touring Evermore, Folklore, and Midnight Rain alone. But she’s definitely not going to sit around and do nothing and have a quiet life out of the public eye. She’s a workaholic and extremely competitive but also always wants to do something bigger and better than she did before. So I think she’ll have a few kids then move into directing or producing feature length films or start her own record label or something. I don’t know exactly, but I imagine she wants to expand to a true empire and become some kind of mogul kind of like Oprah. Not sure if that’s the right word but hopefully you get what I mean. I might be 110% wrong though. She’s certainly unpredictable. |
I wonder this too. I can’t predict. I pile see her stopping bc of a major life change, like marriage or kids or her mom dying. Or those could drive her creativity. I don’t know. She doesn’t need the money and she doesn’t always enjoy the attention. I think she has some goals she would still like to accomplish in terms of awards and recognition from other artists. |
With her dad next to him and 100 cameras aimed at him. Fake and cringe af.

| Sorry Swifties, Taylor will not be at the Monday night football game because her concert was rescheduled for Monday night in Brazil. No meeting of the parents. |
