Both giggle.

OMG Laugh or cringe?!?!

Meh. I bet the producers made them say it. A friend was a producer on Joe Millionaire back in the day and still works in reality tv; he says lots of stuff that is said is pushed by the producers.

I was part of a "reality" show a few years ago and can confirm that things we said on camera were definitely suggested by the director, and their creative editing made things look different than REALity.

Yes, but these are mature adults who do not have to follow screen direction. Remember when Ellen refused to drink from the champagne bottle on the pickleball court? There was another woman who refused as well.

Are you kidding me? Do you think they cast people who don't agree that they are going to have to follow some scripting from time to time? This is big time reality tv. It's part of it.

Yes, part of it, but the Golden people did not always follow direction from producers.

He lives in Indiana now, but only for about four years. He and his wife had only just moved from Iowa when she died.

One thing I’m not clear on is whether Gerry is willing to move, even if it’s just to get that third house with a new partner. Not necessarily all the way out to Oregon to be near Faith’s dead horse, but maybe somewhere closer to Leslie (who won’t move from Minneapolis) or Theresa (we don’t know whether Theresa is willing to move from NJ).

It makes sense for them to have a house they select and furnish together (Theresa's words), close to a major airport. They live together there and make regular trips to see the kids and grandkids, sometimes together and sometimes independently. But it also wouldn't surprise me if the relationship fizzles out before they pull the trigger.

Since the reluctance to move is about not leaving their communities of friends and family, it would make even more sense for them to contribute to the furnishings of each other's current houses and go back and forth. Maybe 4-6 weeks at a time at each. Seems overly complicated to add in a third house and start over. My guess is that they're not very far into these discussions. Since his holiday plans seem fixed with his own family, I question whether this really is a serious discussion at this point.

Did you expect Gerry to say : Leslie/Theresa is coming over to my daughter's house for Thanksgiving...?

The finale doesn't air until a week after Tgiving. They are required to stay away or be in hiding when together.

He could easily say, "I'm in the process of working out the details with my significant other. It will be some variation on the usual, which is..."

Unlike the usual 25 yr olds, older people often take medicines that should not be mixed with alcohol. That might not have been apparent to all the other ladies...but don't make too much of someone refusing to drink during a particular scene.

But he's NOT working out the details of his holiday plans. He simply can't spend the holidays with his pick until the finale airs.

In regard to their longer term living arrangements, he has said in interviews that they think they have a plan worked out, but they are still working on the details. So be patient. You can't assume they are shakey just because they aren't doing Thanksgiving together and haven't put their homes on the market.

I read this thread before I watched the Fantasy Suite episode and thought I would agree with everyone here who thinks that he will pick Teresa.

I didn't see the same connection with Teresa that he had with Leslie on the Fantastic Suites episode. I think the producers are trying to make it look like he had an epiphany after his night with Teresa, but my money is on Leslie for the win.

I think his daughters are going to try to convince him to pick Teresa, but he is going to follow his heart and pick Leslie.

This was already discussed back in page 38. You may want to go back to the beginning and start reading from the beginning.

Ya I don't see Teresa suddenly quitting her job and moving away from her family she sees every day. Details about "working it out" for Teresa's living situation were unclear or left out.

I think Gerry was set on Faith until the ranch visit. He couldn't see himself as her farm hand.

It can look like he's found a partner. That's good tv. Not happening. Not reality.

I can see Teresa "suddenly" quitting her job (she's 72), but I just don't know about moving away from her family.

I agree, he liked Faith best. But she didn't just live in Oregon, my understanding is that she lived out in the boonies in Oregon. Not an easy commute back home to the kids.

I just don't know how flexible he is between "three-hour car ride + plane" (clearly he didn't want that) and "5-hour drive from somewhere we bought together in between our families" (whether that's Leslie or Theresa).
