Let me guess.... Your kid goes to PVI? |
Yes, current PVI player but does not mean I am wrong |
I agree with it going both ways. Now if we can get some high level Loudoun Club teams we would be golden! |
There is. Stay at your public school and beat the privates. Save money. Get a great education. Still get recruited to big schools. |
You know very little about lacrosse if you think this |
It is much more difficult to be seen from a public school then a private school in lacrosse recruiting. I am not saying it is impossible, but it is tougher. |
Im not sure that is entirely accurate either... In looking at just two schools UVA and Towson rosters (somewhat close to here)... UVA has 18 Public School Players, and Towson has 27 Public School Players... If you are good player, you are a good player. You will be found. |
The level of effort put into this observation is astonishingly low. |
You have a 10x’s better chance of playing in college if your child attends a private school vs public in the dmv….theres no argument or conversation even to be had on this topic. At that point, if you’re in the public hs bucket, you better be a badass player on a big time club team! |
Landon, Prep, GZ and STJ lead the way in the dmv this spring. IMO it’s really a two team race between Landon and GZ (on paper anyway). But that’s why they play the games! Excited to see how things pan out this year. |
Landon's early schedule is brutal. Their season will be largely decided after the first 4 or 5 matches. Bullis' schedule is much weaker, as is Prep. Gonzaga is likely to loose the majority of their first 4-5. But St J schedule is tailor made for a good late season run after the get a couple of mid-level wins at the start. |
Clubs mean much more on the recruiting circuit for you kid to get noticed. However, College coaches do like the fact a kid goes to private school. Parents are already use to paying a tuition. And are more than likely able to pay going forward. |
That is the most ridiculous, pretentious and privileged comment I have seen in awhile. You obviously have no clue how anything works. I agree about the club lacrosse helping tremendously with recruiting. But everything else you said is so wrong, and adds to the stigma of those that go to private schools, are just self indulged, isolated, and stuck up. It had to be said. |
Yeah but it is still true and the numbers don’t lie. |
What? It is not true at all. "College coaches like the fact that parent are already use to paying tuition, and that makes them more likely to be able to pay going forward". That is ridiculous. I wouldn't want my kids going to school with anyone that thinks that way. |
