GZ has the best roster and I would not be surprised to see them finish first in the DMV but also issues so not surprised to see them fifth. SSSAS is better than EHS who graduated a UVA A and Duke Goalie SSSAS is the best in VA. Landon needs to get it done this year with the 24 class. PVI location is a non factor. Last season they were third in the DMV with a roster that was local and they had mostly Loudoun players. The coaching is only an upgrade but they lost a lot. Prep should be the top team as SJC lost a lot but losing their best 24 may be too much. Last take: Coaching is way over rated. This year will prove this when SJC is losing games in the DMV. Speaks is a great recruiter that is how he won in the past.
I disagree with PVI location being a non factor. PVI being in Fairfax was a lot easier for people to commute for kids in Fairfax, Vienna, and Oakton areas. It is actually easier for those closer to the beltway to go across the bridge to Bethesda schools. Most of those people only come out to Loudoun County for wineries.....
OK genius, then why did PVI have arguably their best season in school history last season? Almost every starter and impact player is from Loudoun same with the year prior. Maybe some of those players would not have wanted the commute to Fairfax. Works both ways. Many of the stronger younger players are in Loudoun. Maybe Loudoun players who used to go all the way to DC would stay in Loudoun if there is a good option
There is. Stay at your public school and beat the privates. Save money. Get a great education. Still get recruited to big schools.
It is much more difficult to be seen from a public school then a private school in lacrosse recruiting. I am not saying it is impossible, but it is tougher.
