Biden’s economy

An unemployment rate of 3.6 percent and job growth over ~400k per month for 15 of the past 16 months indicates economic malaise? Is that what Trump was talking about when he said we'd be winning so much we'd be tired of it?

And where’s the formula for my baby? 🍼

Nope, try again. There’s a reason Biden has the lowest approval ratings, even lower than a celebrity grifter who sleeps with porn stars and killed many many Americans during a pandemic.

I've been trying to get flooring for my home for over two months. Everything is 20% more expensive than it was earlier in the year, my order is delayed, and I've wasted hours trying to get the vendor to fill the order after I paid them.

Someone shot a gun outside my house last week. I live in a $1 million home in DC. My neighbor's car was broken into last month.

My company can't fill job positions because everyone is demanding to work from home. This means I have to do three people's jobs because our entry level positions remained unfilled. Oh, and today, I need to take severals days of mandatory DE&I training instead of doing the work of these three other people.

I voted for Biden and now blame him for this malaise. It feels like Jimmy Carter presidency all over again.

Yes, it is absolutely Joe Biden's fault that white collar workers prefer working from home, that your company is failing to attract and retain talent, that your company mandates DEI training, that contractors are busy, and that you are too dumb to go to a different gas station instead of waiting 30 minutes (for what, exactly?). I look forward to your next post blaming Joe Biden for your neighbor's barking dog, birds pooping on your car, and McDonald's not selling the McRib.

Not the pp. I don’t blame Biden for my neighbors barking dog, but I blame him for the three people on my block who got their catalytic converters stolen, the mentally I’ll man who randomly punched my friend on the street last month, and the fact that transitory inflation is getting worse and our president only just started to recognize this economic problem.

My house got broken into in 2018. Was this Trump's fault? I didn't think to blame him because that would be insane, but maybe I should have?

I'm not a Trump supporter but don't think he is for weak consequences and little or no bail for criminals resulting in repeat offenders being released to cause more harm to innocent victims.

Has Joe Biden eliminated cash bail and I just didn't notice?

He did not personally do it but it is absolutely a progressive/left policy. And yes DEI training is now required by certain regulations or in order to obtain certain certifications. And that is 100% a Biden admin thing. Definitely not a Trump thing.

Okay, so what's the thought process here? That criminals are emboldened because Joe Biden is a Democrat and some Democrats support (but haven't accomplished) the elimination of cash bail?

Actually California, New York, and Illinois have eliminated cash bail. And crime is crazy in those states. Another Democratic victory!

The highest violent crime rates are in GOP states. It is not even close.

This could be technically correct because GOP states haven’t all decriminalize pot or theft up to $1000. In California and New York, theft up to nearly $1000 is not a crime. Presto chango the crime stats go down. Same thing with decriminalizing possession of drugs or other “non-violent” offenses. The numbers of “crimes” go down because more things are decriminalized. That doesn’t stop the bad acts from happening. You need to wise up.

You are just making crap up. You need to return to reality before we can have a conversation. The fact is that violent crime, which does not and has never included drug possession or petty theft, is highest in red states and has been for a long time.

Said friend said I was silly and that gas isn’t really more when compared to everything else. He said, everything else is more expensive too so why focus on gas. I said that I can, in this particular instance, change my consumption and so I will. With certain other things, food, energy, etc, I don’t have as much control or flexibility and I explained that making this change with gas consumption felt right since I could do it. And I said it simply makes sense since gas has NEVER been this high.

He really wanted to fight me about and his argument that everything else is so much more so why worry about gas was so odd. But he is a super lefty guy and he just can’t see that this across the board price increase is just incredibly painful.

This is what Biden has to understand. Telling us we are silly doesn’t mean we are silly. We have bills and we have commitments and those don’t just away.

That's nice. But Biden did not cause the inflation and no republican can stop it. It is worldwide and has to do with supply problems- some to do with Ukraine, some to do with China's zero-COVID policy, some to do with other COVID mitigation, etc.

No, you clearly don't understand macroeconomics. No other country on the planet is dealing with higher gas prices or inflation. This is all because Biden has a dial on his desk that controls gas prices, and another one that controls inflation, and he is too sleepy to turn them down. Go back to econ 101.

Most Americans seem to disagree with you. If you're explaining, you're losing in politics.

You don't need to have a baby to be aware of inflation, and the polling nu.bers reflect voters' pain.

Anyone who thinks Biden's economy is not having a huge negative impact on most Americans is either extremely wealthy and doesn't "feel" the effects of the high prices or is lying through their teeth.

+100 Extreme liberals in DC are in a bubble. They will clutch their pearls once GOP sweeps in 2022.

Wrong, actually. It was, accounting for the inflation of over a decade, higher under Bush.

If the gas bills bother you, tell the GOP that they should have passed the law banning price gouging. Ooooh I bet those prices would have dropped a buck per gallon.

(Also, most of the western world pays more for gasoline than we do, they always have. They’re paying more right now, too.)

Be honest. Are you just AI, regurgitating talking points? Here, let me feed you some random phrases: taxes, bootstraps, Candyland, sidewalk, astroturf, sand, price gouging, anglerfish. Let’s see what garbled nonsense you reply with.

Wise people know that “pot and theft up to $1000” aren’t included in any statistics about “violent crimes.”
