Why did American Airlines cancel literally at the LAST second DCA to Florida this morning?

Write cutomer service. Tell them you need a letter for travel insurance. They'll give you their reason.

No, even the agents were visibly confused. AA made no announcement, just a flashing board with “canceled”, just as passengers were ready to board.

My guess is something mechanical and after recent events they are on edge. But I agree with the recommendation to follow up with customer service.
