| Same way we’d test for Covid? |
| Who’s “we”? |
|
I mean, I did…because I wanted to know “is it a cold or is it the flu”…they make a combo covid, flu A, flu B test…I took it and learned I had Flu A. I have since been masking all week when out in public.
Some might use it to decide if they want to go forward with dealing with a minute clinic/getting tamiflu etc… |
did I miss where it mentioned at home flu tests? |
| Is the vaccine effective against it? I thought I was coming down with a cold but it quickly became body aches and I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. 100 temp. |
I have read that this year’s flu vaccine wasn’t a great match against the strain that is circulating. So it is very possible that you have the flu even if you were vaccinated. I had flu A back in December and you are describing how I felt. Good luck and feel better soon! |
| I keep one in the house but only do it if super sick. |
| I’m curious what this would change. I mean if you’re sick, you should be staying home and keeping your kids home anyway right? What would knowing for sure that it’s a flu strain do for you? |
You can get tamiflu |
The problem is that it felt like a basic cold yesterday. Sniffles, light cough. I even went to the gym. It wasn’t until last night that the body aches and splitting headache started. |
To get prescription asap vs waiting it out. I prefer to mitigate to the extent possible. |
Are you the pp who just said you and kids should be home if anyone’s feeling sick? |
|
my kid took a test at the first sign of illness, went on tami flu immediately. Fever free in 36 hours. Flu A. Felt like crap day one, tired day 2 and new person day 3.
Taking at home means not going into germy urgent care. Can get on tami flu quickly(works better if you take asap) |
What’s “the problem”? |
