No, twitter employees are not paid well, some are on H1B visa and do not have better choice. He is cheap, and expect employees working long hours overnight, there are sofa beds in twitter office.

Normal worker want decent life too, work is not everything.

This particular job pays much much better than industry standards (not Twitter)

I know someone from school who's a higher up at Space X and they often justified it as that they could do good within the crazy. They've gone really quiet recently.
