| I am curious. Teacher? Doctor? Lawyer? |
| Your pride shouldn't be tied to their careers and salaries but their ability to function as healthy, productive, conscientious adults carving a good life for themselves and others around them. |
+1. One of my kids is a medical admin. My other kid is a software engineer at FAANG. Both are happy, are supporting themselves, and are launched. I'm proud of both of them. |
| Even if they aren't doing great on paper or checking boxes of prestigious jobs, high income, nice house, marriage and 2.5 kids but trying their level best, that's a good enough reason to be proud. |
| I’m proud because they are happy, well adjusted, have strong loyal relationships and are good people overall. On top of that one is a lawyer and one is working in on an advanced degree for a career in healthcare. I don’t think I could be proud of them for their careers if their personal lives were a disaster. |
| I'm proud that all my adult children have careers in the helping profession. One is a software developer working in the medical field, one is a data manager in a cancer hospital, one is a paralegal working in a victims' rights unit, and one is an analyst in a government agency focused on reducing harm. |
| McDonald’s cashier . Proud as a lark |
| One doctor, one pharmacist, one pharmaceutical researcher - all doctors of different kind. |

Computer engineer and living independently. Level 1 ASD. Very proud and 🤞🙏 it continues.
Second one has a degree but needs a job. Has had a very difficult time finding one. Math major. Grad school (PhDprogram) did not work out. Starting to get a few interviews but no offers yet. Proud that he keeps on trying despite several road blocks and unlucky experiences. Tutoring HS students while they look. |
What do you do OP? Are your parents proud of your career moves? |
| Mine is about to graduate so on the cusp but is Self aware, continuing to grow, making plans, getting their sh** together. Proud mama |
| Public school teacher. I'm proud they choose helping others over a bigger paycheck |
| Mine were super proud of my medical degree and profession but I decided to become a SAHM. I wasn't happy in my career and didn't want to live to keep fulfilling their dreams. They were happy I was happy. |

I'll play.
Mine are both doing great in their chosen careers. One is a CICU nurse at a children's hospital. She has two babies and a great little family. The other one works at an investment bank and probably already has retirement fully funded, since she hates to spend money. haha! Both manage their lives well and are completely off our payroll.
