Some highlights: "County Board members on Tuesday night (Dec. 17) voted unanimously to approve budget guidance providing Schwartz the ability to propose tax increases he deems necessary." "homeowners would see, for the second year in a row, a double-whammy: a higher tax rate ladled atop increasing real-estate assessments." |
| Unfortunately, given the continued horrible state of commercial real estate in Arlington, plus all of Arlington's pet projects, I think this is only the beginning. |
| Arlington also increased the car tax in 2024. They'll probably vote for another increase this year. |
| Those Dems can’t get enough of other people’s money to waste. |
| They also added more speed cameras and those fines are $$$. Arl Co has their hands in everyone's pockets! |
| Arlington is already exorbitantly expensive and has been for a long time. Anyone living there knows it and accepts it for the lifestyle and location. The residents also likely want those pet projects and will be fine paying for them. |
When you aren’t trying to burn it all down, it takes money to actually govern and provide services we all need. They could step up the funding for APS. |
|
If home values go down, they have to raise tax rates. If home values go up, they have to raise tax rates.
Odd. When do rates get lowered? |
Then don’t speed. |
| Shocker: wherever Democrats are in charge taxes go up. |
I live in Arlington and … yep. Give me new playgrounds and sidewalks! I’m fine paying for it because I live here and want my community to be nice. |
Exactly. Most people in Arlington appreciate public resources - parks, pools, schools, etc. That’s why we live here and vote D. |
I don't but the traffic signs in Arlington are confusing and there are far too many of them now. It is hard to navigate at times. |
| Didn't you just post the same thing in the MoCo channel. Get a life. |
This. |
