Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass = DC Mayor Muriel Bowser

Having watched Bowser up close, I think its only a matter of time before something big blows up in Bowser's face similar to what is happening with Karen Bass.
For example: 911 has been awful under Bowser.
Just watching the news and seeing how Bass is taking criticism, I think Bowser is going to get her come-comeuppance soon.

Yes, internet trolls, white female, upper class looking crisis actors who show up to pretend to be "concerned citizens", and the corporate media (such as anchors like Nora O'Donnell, who love to repeat GOP talking points when interviewing black female politicians) can make anything happen. So see that this all happens and you too can get M.B. out.

Just like we heard for months that Alsobrooks was the same as Bowser? Try to hide your racist misogynist tendencies better.

I'm racist because I think that Bowser is a terrible mayor?
Ever called 9-11 lately?

How are the two even comparable besides being black and female.

that is what matters to OP. Everything bad that happens now on, will be a black woman's fault.

How is Karen Bass at fault? I know the fire chief blamed her, but that's what I would expect a fire chief to do to deflect blame from herself. And given how everyone on this board complains about bloated budgets, surely you can appreciate how a mayor would try to trim spending to keep the budget in check.

I'm not taking sides, but is there actually an objective analysis of this issue?

To quote:

Did LA Mayor cut fire department budget?
LA Mayor Karen Bass has faced criticism over cuts to the city's fire department budget.
For the latest financial year, the LA Fire Department (LAFD) budget was reduced by $17.6m (£14.3m).
LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley told CNN that the budget cut had "severely" affected the department's ability to respond to the disaster.
She said the department was already under-staffed and the elimination of civilian positions, like mechanics, had meant that 100 fire apparatuses were out of service.
Mayor Bass responded to the criticism, saying: "There were no reductions that were made that would have impacted the situation that we were dealing with over the last couple of days."
According to the LA Times, after the 2024-25 budget was passed, the city council approved $53m in pay raises for firefighters and $58m for new kit, such as firetrucks.
Once that funding is taken into account, the fire department's operating budget technically grew this year, according to the newspaper.
The LAFD has an overall budget of approaching $1bn, and it isn't the only department responding to the fires.
For example, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Los Angeles County Fire Department are part of the relief efforts, along with the federal government.

OK, thanks. It appears that the mayor didn't do anything wrong.

Bass left on a political junket to Ghana when LA had red flag warnings for fire due to the draught and Santa Ana winds. Bass posted about the warnings on X and then left town.

What does this say about her critical thinking skills and her notions about what a leader should do at grave times. The first thing you do is show up, not leave town. She yeah, she blew it and it left her open for criticism, a distraction no one needs.

So Bass caused all the fires?

It's funny how Democrats are getting assailed for funding the cops by the ACAB crowd due to the fires
