This is the world on the street. Prioritizing getting as many red bloods cells as possible to maximize the oxygen.

This can’t be true.

Is it because they can’t find the cuts anywhere? Or because focused on IMX?

Yeah, that really would be NCAP declaring war on HS swim. 😂

🙄 this again. NCAP Prep and Bruce Gemmell live rent feee in your head OP, you might want to get some help for that.

If Olympic training center isn’t open, they will desperately be looking for a long course meet the weekend of metros to make sure their don’t enjoy high school meets

OP, your kid doesn’t swim at GP anymore (your posts are obvious so we know you’re the poster whose kid is no longer there but you’re bitter about their experience) so this doesn’t impact you. Even if it were true (and I don’t know that it is because the 15 and overs were at OTC this past week) why exactly do you care? Again, find something better to occupy your time, it’s really unhealthy.

I'm not OP, don't have a kid at NCAP and never did. I'm aware of the tension between HS and club swimming (mostly coming from the club side) and am fascinated/horrified by the idea that a club coach would actually force their swimmers to choose like that. My kid's coach grouses about it, but ultimately supports HS happening. I'm glad it's not actually true.

While OP might be kidding, any MCPS swimmers who miss 2 dual meets throughout the year are ineligible for the postseason. So if you look at all of the club kids (most NCAP, but some other clubs too) who go to 2 of U.S. Open, NCI, AAC LC, OTC, and IMX will not be able to swim Metros, Regions, States by rule.

Prep missed states last year- this year it will be Metros and it’s not Bruce’s group it’s Silver but there are some fast freshmen in that group….and no, Prep does not give a sh*t about HS swim

Anyone keeping a list? Who is reporting this? Keep it fair!

I know no one wants to let truth get in the way of their vendetta against Prep, but the HS training trips to OTC are open to all of NCAP and there is an application process. It is not some scheme devised by Prep to keep their swimmers from Metros.

IMX is for 14&U - so probably VERY few HS kids. And they put the older kids in the early session so they can attend their HS meets in the evening.

Most kids I know will skip a day of a meet if there is a conflict. The only meet I know that kids missed was Sport Fair and that was if they made finals. I imagine NCI as well would fall in this category. Very few kids are missing two meets.
