Yes - it’s what I think of as “hair wings”! So bizarre just somewhat stiff hair to either side of the face, with such a 2D look. Not meant for 3 dimensional view, just for photos from the front. Whether natural or extensions, it is a strange look but not uncommon.
That said, I am over 40 with longish (or maybe medium length?) hair, but mine is naturally curly so a bit different from this situation. There is nothing wrong with longer hair as you age. Incredibly long hair that does nothing isn’t very stylish at any age, young or old. I will never understand the hairdo that says “I can grow hair” haha.
