I had to check that this was Brandywine Volleyball Club. Does anyone know why they declined the bid? Based on the posts here, it seems like participating in qualifiers would not make much sense if a team is not interested in accepting bids. |
Spitballing here but it could come down to money. If BVC had already committed to play AAU in Florida to end the year do the players/families want to finance another trip to go to USAV/Indy? As for playing a qualifier if you don't intend to accept bid...eh, for Brandywine having NEQ in Philly is a multi-day local tourney. They are close enough to avoid Stay to Play + get to play a different mix of teams. That seems like some nice perks. |
Ok this just made me snort laughing. 🥒 |

In the process of updating the first post ...
Additional 18 National division bid reallocated to CHRVA (to VA Elite 18s); End result is that Paramount 18 Cozad now gets an 18 Freedom bid Additional 14 National division bid reallocated (new team not yet listed in spreadsheet); End result should be MDJRS 14 Elite Black now gets a 14 Freedom bid As already noted, Paramount 17 Nick should now have an Open bid from Big South. VAJRS 15s now have a 15 Liberty bid from NEQ. Brandywine 13-1 declined a bid earned at NEQ. There were seven (7!) qualiifers that ended on Easter Sunday. This week's spreadsheet updates should be wild. I'm sure I've also missed something else. More to come.

| Glad that the 'Open' bid trickled down to Paramount 17 Nick team. They are a great team. |
They came in 3rd - with 3 bids available at Big South, the bid didn’t need to trickle down to them. Good on them for doing what they needed to get that bid. |
Actually, the bid trickled down. Since the team that won had already secured a 17 Open bid, the bid passed down to the next three teams, so there was no need for a third place match. |
| when will we see trickle down happen? |
Not sure what you mean because it's already been happening. |
If a division has four bids, the top four finishers will receive them. If one of the top four teams already has the same bid, it will trickle down to the fifth-place team, and so on. |

The Paramount 14/15/16/17 first teams are set to compete in the upcoming qualifiers listed below.
- 2026 ASCIS Show Me - 2026 Salt Lake City Showdown It will be a challenging tournament due to the presence of several elite teams. Wishing the best of luck to all the Paramount teams participating. |
There is talent on that team but they have terrible attitudes with teammates yelling at each other. Total mean girl culture. |
I am not sure where you are getting that impression, but this is far from accurate. |
Have you watched them play? Pay attention when they are down or it's a close game. The coach is losing his mind and several players are beyond terrible to their teammates. Meanwhile Coach Nick is losing his mind with his theatrics. |
| Paramount 15 made into the Gold Bracket at Show Me and got an Open bid. |
