Title says it all. |
OMG. Take a breath. |
I don’t think OP has breathing problems. OP is just trying to make a plan for tomorrow. |
Montgomery county, loundoun county, spotslyvania county, and faquier county closed. I fear we will at least have a delay. |
I would guess a delay but I also didn't have Montgomery County already canceling soooo |

The announcement on Sunday evening happened earlier than on Monday evening. I bet we'll have to wait even later to find out about tomorrow. At this point, I'm hoping for a two-hour delay. |
Ugh please be open. We still need to work with two small kids at home! |
No school on 1/8 for PGCPS. |
I’m a DCPS teacher, and I will be very surprised if we aren’t open, but a delay wouldn’t shock me. |
Our DC private announced on time opening tomorrow |
No way DCPS is closed tomorrow - I will admit I am shocked at MCPS - but I would put real money on DCPS being open. Maybe delay though |
Tons of schools are closed tomorrow including PGCPS. |
Our street is the bus route for a Montgomery County school and it has not been plowed. When I saw that it hadn't been plowed by 3pm Tuesday, I was certain there was no way the schools would be open on Wednesday. Dang.
In Maryland the numbered routes are state roads (4, 5, 355, 97, 185) and most of the rest are plowed by the counties. I'm kind of surprised that Montgomery is not getting it done. |
I think DCPS will be open. They'll do a 2-hour delay to split the difference since people are going to complain whether they are closed or open.
I drove around to run errands today and the roads are totally fine. They could get a bit icy overnight tonight but if they do a delay and it's sunny again like it was today, there's really no reason to keep kids home again. Are they going to close on Thursday for the state funeral? I've heard nothing on that so have been assuming they'll be open. Has anyone's school said anything about this? |
