| I found out yesterday that OLGC has now entered there recruited 8th grades into the St.J indoor league. On top of that they had the Varsity coach on the sidelines coaching them. This would not be tolerated and is against the rules in almost every competitive league in the country. When will the WCAC see this is a negative and take a look at how his selective invites to his MS recruiting while using the WCAC name to bring players in. Meanwhile he only invited one school from the WCAC to join which was PVI. The reason why only PVI was invited is only because that’s the one WCAC school he is not concerned about losing a recruit to because they are so far out. If the WCAC allows this to continue unchecked it will lead t on one of two things OLGC leaving the WCAC or the girls side of the WCAC just becoming a race for second place every season. My take if you are going to use the WCAC name the least you could do is invite all the shops or is it just fear he won’t be able to continue to collect players when they learn they would be able to attend another WCAC school and have a chance to play Varsity before there senior year. |
When you choose to attend a WCAC school for athletics, this is what you get. The conference doesn't see it the way you do and their rules support almost any type of recruiting. |
|
You think Gonzaga is going to invite OLGC and St. John's to their events/leagues.
LOL! No. Also can you use WCAC more times in your post. Put your post in ChatGPT and clean it up. |
| I'm confused... Was there a recruiting event at the St. James or are you talking about the St. James indoor league? No fan of MH, but seems to be playing by the rules so more power to him. I just wish he put as much effort in building his club team. With the GC pipeline, it's ripe to be a very good program, but I digress... |
I can’t take this whining post seriously as you consistently use “there” instead of “their.” If your daughter’s grammar is just as bad, she won’t be getting into a private school anyway. |
Could you explain what using the WCAC name is supposed to mean in this context? And unless you have a different explanation, every league I've ever heard of teams can sign up for. Leagues "invite" schools so they can fill them up. Typically many more teams are invited than attend. It isn't some exclusive event where only a select few can get in, and you hope to get the precious invite. |

Lol, “my kid didn’t get recruited to OLGC, whaaaaaa!”
DC and all of the IAAM teams in MD recruit, and most elite 8th graders have been in contact with coaches since August, some even back to 7th grade. It is just how it works, it is within the rules, and it gives the OLGC coach time to integrate the recruits into the system. |
| This is no different than a play day, a high school coach coaching a club team, a Prospect Day, you name it. It’s recruiting. |
Exactly |
In the ISL there is no coaching outside of season you do not see KMC for SR or KJ for SSASA on the sidelines do you? |
It’s not the same as a play day or a club coach. You tell me 1 club comprised of all players from one school? To the clown that thinks jealous a little info for you we happened to be there to watch my Daughters old teammates play while she’s home from college. My DD ended up just fine after turning down MH and OLGC she plays D1 at a pretty decent academic school in PA she will be just fine. And btw we turned down OLGC because the academics are sub par. |
| In general, people will react more positively to posts if they are will written. I had to stop reading about halfway through the post |
They said they recruited them, not coached them. |
Honest, it does seem you're a little jelly of OLGC and what they're doing. Or a lot. |
Oh the irony |
