| What are some good suggestions that I can get on Netflix? I am not a tv watcher so I haven't watched any series in ages, other than 24. Any suggestions? |

The Wire
Friday Night Lights Buffy (and Firefly) Wonderfalls It's sort of hard to say without anything else about what you like but those are some good ones. |
|
Glee
If you are an anglophile try Foyle's War. |
|
Mad men
True blood Weeds Lost The L word Alias |
|
Lost
I used the instant feature on netflix so I could watch all the episodes without waiting for the DVDs. |
| The Wire. Deadwood. Damages. Mad Men. Dexter. |
|
The Tudors.
Glee. West Wing. |
| I am also on bedrest and got into Weeds - LOVED it. I also love the West Wing, Lost, Glee and Mad Men. |
Agree with Alias, True Blood, and Weeds. Though, I have to say Weeds and Alias hooked me right away, True Blood took a few episodes. |
| And yes, West Wing is a favorite too! |
|
I second Foyle's War!
On watch instantly, there are 2 mini-series I like: Tin Man and Lost in Austen (if you're a Jane Austen fan for that one). My husband is going through Arrested Development. |
|
DEXTER!!!!!
Also agree on Alias and the Wire. LOVED them both. British and American The Office are great, if you haven't already watched them. Love the A&E/BBC version of Pride and Prejudice. One complete day's worth of Ms. Austen's best. I don't know how old you are (meaning you may be too young for these to be nostalgic for you), but going old school can be fun too...think Party of Five and Dawson's Creek. |
|
I re-lived my early 20s and watched Dawson's Creek with Baby #1 and Gilmore Girls with Baby #2.
The Wire is absolutely phenomenal. If you like that, you might also like the Shield, which is great. Weeds, Lost, Glee...all good too. |
|
another vote for the Wire.
You can also watch Weeds (I really don't know why I like this show, but I do) instantly on your computer, as well as Rescue Me. |

The Wire
