The promo is nicely done. She clearly has a level of talent in this arena. It will be interesting to see if the show works. I bet that this is do or die for the contract that Harry and Meghan has with Netflix. |
What kind of show? |
I think of all the things they have done this has the most potential, but not sure to what end. |
Love, Meghan. Cooking & lifestyle, etc. |
She has a show?? Her marketing is clearly working well. |
I just watched the promo, had no idea it was coming out! I'll definitely watch, but my critique of the trailer: looks like a nice general vibe, very relaxed, sunny, upper class California, good cinematography, and she looks beautiful as always and very happy. BUT: food looks extremely basic, amateur good cook level and choices. Biggest downside: this is not her actual house and life. It's just for the show. People want to see the rich and famous in their actual element, especially if they are not professional chefs. I can watch Gwyneth Paltrow cook more interesting food in her own Montecito kitchen. She does that on instagram regularly. |
Her point: she elevates basics |
Meh, hard to see there being a lot of interest in this. |
Meghan Markle lacks authenticity. She is what the British refer to as a try hard. She is not likeable. |
That is all most of us are - good home cooks and not too fancy. I would be out off if it had the bizarre ingredients on my cooking competition shows … |
I like her. I don't like you. |
I like her public persona - the intense hate by so many is ridiculous … |
No intense hate on my end at all. She just seems VERY calculated. Like every move has a purpose. All of this while trying to seem so chill. We’ll see. A good show is a good show. |
You know who does an amazing job at this? Jennifer Garner. That’s a show I’d watch. I love her short cooking videos. I’m not a fan of MM and don’t find her relatable at all. So this show will be a pass for me. |
The fact that it’s not her own home is a deal breaker for me. Pass. |
