Do that many people order cocktails with ginger ale?

It seems every bar or restaurant either has ginger ale on the gun thing or small cans of it. Who is ordering ginger ale cocktails and mixed drinks? I know Moscow mules use ginger ale (or ginger beer) but those are not THAT popular, are they?

My kids drink ginger ale - its their favorite soda. I know people who drink bourbon and ginger.

Everything doesn't need to be agrees upon by consensus. People vary in their likes and do not need to follow the crowd. It is not an impossibility that there are some who like what the masses do not like.
