ECNL STL - another showcase mess

Anonymous
Anyone else have the terrible experience in STL? Freezing, buckets of rain, canceled third game, hotels terrible. Why is ECNL continuing to force parents to pay and kids to attend these showcases in the midwest in December. Did anyone get recruited out of there? I hope so, I hope another family had a better weekend than we did. ECNL sucks

Pretty miserable on day #2 but DD and teammates got a lot of scouts and interest.

Yikes -- that is less than half for St. Louis which a lot of coaches skipped because of the weather.

Agree that midwest in December is really a dice roll of if the weather is going to cooperate. IIRC, similar situation last year in Nashville - bad weather and canceled games.

Heading to FL in January and Dallas in February, so hopefully better there. Last year, Dallas was really unseasonably cold and dreary.

Avoiding the stay and play hotels at both of these luckily. Managed to get an airbnb for FL and staying with family that are close to the fields in Dallas. Yeah!

250 colleges attending a GA event is a huge success for them. I welcome it. Competition is a good thing for everyone.
