And...its underwhelming. Its from Fluerette and it looks like any other $300 coat from Macys or J Crew.
I wanted a more elegant and elevated look. Are all expensive coats like this? |
Maybe work on your spelling first. An expensive coat won't cover up your poor education. |
| Return it now if it doesn't make you feel the way you expected. |
|
If you are going to spend that much, aim a little higher and splurge on max Mara.
Fancy clothes are just that. They won’t fix a frumpy body or crooked nose or yellow teeth. |
| Were you hoping people would notice and gush over you |
| Yes, most expensive stuff is like this. Rich people are easy marks and don’t know the difference between cost and value. |
| I’d pay that much for a coat more for the fabric and fit then whether it looked expensive. |
| If you are dumb enough to pay for a huge mark up on a basic coat, you deserve what you got. |
|
Jesus Christ people on this site are deranged.
Return it OP. Wait till you get a coat that makes you feel freat. |
| Love these posts. |
| I hope you got it for $500 from Nordstrom rack. That’s where those coats are sold. If you want a really amazing coat you should search max mara on the OUTNET, Poshmark, etc. |
I was just coming here to say this. Max Mara coats are phenomenal quality and will last forever. Some of their coats are less than what OP paid. You can also find them second-hand for even less and because the quality is good, they hold up. For big ticket every day items like this, I think it's always worth it to go with the old standbys. |
| Fleurette coats are amazing quality. But they are not magic - if a cut doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work regardless of the price. OP, return the coat and keep searching. |

I splurged on a Max Mara camel coat a few years ago and I still love it. It's beautifully made and elevates every outfit.

My mother once gave me a lovely Burberry cashmere coat... only to have it eaten by moths a few years later.
I've learned, in my 100 year old house that probably has holes to the outside I don't know about, that I cannot keep cashmere around, unless I want to use that toxic anti-moths product. So now it's wool only, and so far, it's gone well. But every time I've bought something in cashmere, it's been eaten. |
