You haven't read much about the other cases of heat stroke where people were found sitting upright? It's ridiculous that you think this is abnormal. |
I think the baby died. The father sat down in shock. The mother ran off in panic then heat exhaustion + heat stroke took her out. |
The timing just doesn't make sense to me, that they'd all die within a minute or two of each other. |
^^or just sit and wait to die. |
The word "ridiculous" doesn't mean what you seem to think it means. |
No. The rest of us don’t think it’s that unusual. He could be leaning against the carrier, a rock, etc. |
I’m also convinced that if it’s not murder that they took the wrong trail. Were confused very soon and just kept walking. It makes sense to walk an easy road trail for an hour with the baby and dog but not what they did. |
So now you are blaming the friends and family? WTF is wrong with you? |
We don't know that they did. They might have all collapsed within minutes of each other (baby dying first - maybe she was too quiet and when they finally checked her they realized she wasn't breathing) and then the adults died were they fell. Could have taken hours. But since they weren't discovered until Tuesday (48 hours later) - it would be possible they were still alive but exhausted and dehydrated on Sunday/Monday. You can survive without water for three days but you can't survive without water that long in such extreme temperatures. And their cell phones had no reception to call for aid. |
How many times have you posted this comment. No one has said they died within a minute or two of each other. No one has that kind of information. Go read about other cases of couples or families who have died of heat stroke. F that. Just go read about heat stroke, heat exhaustion, extreme dehydration. |
If something happened to the baby up the trail - maybe the parents pushed hard to get to help but if they were say 4 miles away from their car and running in 103F weather it makes sense that heat exhaustion made them collapse.
They got all the way to the 1.5 mile mark and the father collapsed with the weighty pack. Mother struggled to continue on to get help and she collapsed too. |
NP -- I find it odd too. To have 4 living creatures of various sizes die from heat stroke close together just seems off to me. I am not discounting it but I think one of the parents would have gotten farther away (for help or delirium) before also dying. I get the dog and baby couldn't get away put being so close, unless they wandered and came back, just strikes me as off for heat exhaustion/stroke. |
A lot of you posters are going to look extremely foolish once the case is solved. |
Good point. ![]() |
How was the dog or baby going to wander off? The baby was in the carrier and the dog clipped to the husband. |
