There has been much written about the Bradley effect, when Obama was running. The consensus seems to be that especially in the south, it doesn’t really exist.

With all the focus on flipping Senate seats we've taking our eye off Gary Peters. Please give him money!

+1 NYT just came out with a poll that has him up by only 1, 43-42.

Also, please read this article about how his wife almost died waiting for a second trimester abortion of a much-wanted yet non-viable fetus. No one in the Senate has ever shared a personal story about abortion before, and I’m so glad he did.

“North Carolina voters don't seem to mind that Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Cal Cunningham had an affair – he's even gained ground among male voters – according to the results of a WRAL News poll released Monday.

SurveyUSA polled 669 likely and actual voters statewide between last Thursday and Sunday for the exclusive poll, which also found that the push for the Senate to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill an open seat on the U.S. Supreme Court before the Nov. 3 election also tilts in favor of Cunningham at the expense of Republican Sen. Thom Tillis. The poll's responses have confidence intervals of +/- 4.5 to 4.8 percentage points.

Cunningham now holds a 49-39 percent lead over Tillis, who is seeking a second six-year term. That lead is up from 47-40 percent in Cunningham's favor from a WRAL News poll conducted four weeks earlier.”

Yup Trump and GOP have broken politics. Infidelity, immorality, and disgusting behaviors are no longer a taboo!

So bizarre. Wonder what it takes to change public opinion anymore. Kicking puppies on live TV? Dead girl? Live boy?

Well a lot of Republicans are changing their minds. It's pretty easy to see what's changing their minds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tZVnbDq9B4

This particular "scandal" was pretty tame

And look at the alternative. This isn't a "well, either way we'll get someone decent" situation.

For those looking for places to give, consider Peters in MI who is defending his seat, and the polling is now within the margin of error.

This woman is dumber than a box of rocks. Is this really the best Mississippi can do?

She’s really awful. She won’t even debate Espy because she’s a gaffe machine and not very being. But she has an R next to her name so that’s enough for many people in Mississippi.

Wowie! Blue wave plus Green wave? I feel hopeful although wary that Dems may lose a lot of these hard fought races by 1 pct

It’s terrible, because MS is the most heavily African American state in the country (40% of the population). But there are so many roadblocks in that state to keep poor, black constituents from voting. A crazy percentage of the black population has no ID card/drivers license because they can’t access their birth certificate.

Espy talked about how one of the things he had to do in 2018 was help re-register many voters who had been purged from voter rolls for no good reason in the past decades. It’s sad because Democrats ignore Mississippi because it’s a deep red state and then it gets deeper red because it’s ignored and the cycle perpetuates order
