Unless you live in Maine your opinion of him is moot and, obviously, the electorate voted overwhelmingly for him. |
What women allege abuse? The Zionist heritage foundation staffer? |
I'm the poster you're responding to. He has said it multiple times. I know i've personally heard him say so on several podcasts where he was interviewed. So take your accusation and stickit. |
Extended family is Jewish. A stepbrother lives in Jerusalem and is a senior correspondent and news analyst for Jerusalem Post. While this doesn’t necessarily make him “pro Israel” I doubt he would actually take a hard line against Israel either |
He does not take AIPAC money. He's one of the few US politicians who doesn't. And he's been openly critical of Israel's genocide. I don't think his Jewish heritage makes him supportive of Israel's atrocities. Mine sure doesn't. |
| This thread just illustrates how scared the GOP is of a Platner win. I'm sure these posts are from a troll farm that's spewing this crap on websites all across America. |
I don’t disagree and fwiw I would have happily voted for him if I lived in Maine. I don’t. But I find the attacks on him very troubling, including those from my hometown newspaper that sees fit to publishing a scathing piece on him almost every day for the last several weeks. You’d think he was more important than the president himself. |
This is an interesting but obvious twist. The oppos realize they can’t win on calling him anti semitic so now they’re pivoting to the other side. Now he may be ‘pro Israel!’ /s/ Let us know how this tracks, pp. better than the ‘trust fund’ accusations? Sexting? |
People are concerned about Maine because Senator Collins is very beatable. But Maine Democrats have chosen a very flawed candidate - from Nazi tattoos to domestic issues to lying about his background to mocking wounded soldiers and so on - and fear that Collins will win and allow Republicans to keep the Senate. So the Maine race is high stakes for everyone in the country. I think every sane person wishes that Democrats in Maine would have chosen a stronger candidate. |
All of your statements are laughable exaggerations. |
Agree, but let's focus on other races. Annie Andrews has just barely raised more than Lindsay Graham. It would be so much more satisfying to see him lose the Senate, rather than "Very Concerned" Collins. But, PP above you is right. There is a MAGA strategy to focus all attention on this race, to divert attention. Let's not play along. |
| I hope he wins in November. |
Other races you should focus on are those in Alaska, Iowa, Ohio, and Texas. Let’s not put tens of millions into trying to beat Lindsey Graham again. |
| Me TOO movement only applies to the republicans. How quickly the Dems forget |
Many people wish that Republicans would’ve chosen someone other than Trump from the large field of presidential candidates in the Republican primary when Trump first ran. But here we are. |
