The shooter donated to Act Blue on the day Biden was inaugurated.

Yeah, but he registered as a Republican after that.

Yeah, but he registered as a Republican after that.

So he could vote against Trump in the primary.

People saying this is staged, a conspiracy, a set up by Trump, or anything other than an assassination attempt are as looney as the Trump conspiracy theorists and deniers.

If the situation were reversed MAGAs would have had a field day with the conspiracy theories.

Don’t go on Twitter because it is filled to the brim with conspiracy theories about how it was staged. And the people who are posting that are democrats so let’s not get high and mighty about maga being tinfoil hat people when they are plenty of Democrats who are tinfoil hat as well.

Sadly people are ignoring facts and evidence including a man being killed.

So your narrative is he's an undercover democrat?

Because it doesn't appear to be a gun shot but something else. Bullets were not flying.

These posts didn’t age well and whoever wrote them should feel deep shame and be banned from this platform forever.

Disgusting.

Democrats are trying to remove his right to USSS protection, Myorkas is denying increases for protection, and now there's been an assassination attempt from a rooftop 150 yards from his podium. The Penn state police said that rooftop wasn't part of the perimeter-- what? It's USSS and Law Enforcement's job to CREATE an adequate perimeter. The max effective range on an AR-15 is 600 meters, and they allowed an unsecured rooftop at 150 meters? This cannot be a simple mistake. There needs to be a full investigation and prosecutions for these people who are attempting to clear the path for assassins.

Donald Trump Could Lose Secret Service Protection Under New Bill

A prominent House Democrat has introduced new legislation that would strip felons of Secret Service protection, specifically mentioning former President Donald Trump in case he's convicted in one or more of his criminal trials.

Mississippi Representative Bennie Thompson, ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, is bringing forth the Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable Former Protectees Act—or the DISGRACED Act—which would terminate Secret Service protection for individuals convicted of either state or local felonies.

The Democratic ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and J6 Panel Chair, is the sponsor for the bill. The House Committee on Homeland Security is the House oversight Committee for DHS, the parent organization for USSS. This is a very bad look. Was he pressuring them behind closer doors?

He just shot Trump. Let's just say his republican bona fides are up for debate.

Has anyone thought about making AR-15s illegal?

Oh, right. Republicans want to keep them and have more people own them.

Sad that this kid has potential (from initial reporting. Bright?). Deranged obviously, but something pathological or more an extremist type insanity - ie Trump derangement syndrome. Probably believed he was saving the world ie crusader. Killed an innocent and injured two more. How do we get back to civics and dialogue? Teach them? Model them?

Re attempt to remove USSS protection: https://thehill.com/homenews/house/4605774-former-jan-6-panel-chair-bill-secret-service-protection-felons/

Re refusal to increase security: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mayorkas-denied-repeated-requests-more-secret-service-protection-trump-gop-lawmaker-says

And then there's just the insane choice to not secure a rooftop 150 yards from the podium. I expect more from mall cops.

If Fox reports it it must be true

The House Homeland Security Committee is planning on investigating reports that Trump was denied stronger Secret Service protection before the rally.

There are 400 million guns in America. You're a fool if you think banning them will work.
