Still waiting for AB to tell families that use Revolution about the attempted abduction. Dudes clueless |
What? |
Around when this forum started requiring registration, someone posted about FCV joining some league(GA?) and Loudoun Soccer's days were coming to an end. |
Where's the permanent fields? We don't need no stinking fields. |
This is such an idiotic question. There literally is not a single club in the DMV that has “permanent” fields, other than VRSC. There are a lot of things on which one can reasonably criticize FCV, but fields are the proverbial red herring. |
There may be another one but Loudoun is literally a single club that has "permanent" fields. Assuming both clubs have a mortgage so "permanent" is relative. |
There is a mortgage on Revolution, but it's fixed at a low rate for ten years. By then they will generate enough funds to pay off the 6-7 million purchase price. The masked owner also has very deep pockets. Not Nico but the other guy. |
EVERY other GA/ECNL club has "permanent" fields. FCV is the outlier here. |
Who is the owner - a person or a group? |
Fields have always been the issue for FCV, and that goes back for a decade or more. Long ago they were a loose confederation of teams at different clubs that TF hand picked to be "FCV" and compete in ECNL in its early days. Then ECNL wanted their clubs to have "home" fields to host all of the games at one site. This problem dates back to those days. I think they connected with SYA at that time and still played as FCV but used SYA fields, and then that coalition broke down (don't remember why) and they have been using fields at other clubs since then. Revolution pulling their fields for next year is just the latest reason for field issues for them. |
First - and speaking to the child's mother...it wasn't an attempted abduction. A U11G Revolution player went into the main restroom, and a transgender woman was making a Tik Tok in the bathroom. The woman was not part of any soccer club and was trespassing. Her prolonged presence was awkward for the player. She did not feel comfortable. Second - this message was sent by Revolution (on March 1): Last night, an incident occurred at Revolution involving trespassing. We want to reassure you that the matter has been swiftly addressed, and law enforcement responded promptly. Your safety is our utmost priority, and we encourage you to remain vigilant - if you notice anything unusual, please don't hesitate to speak up. As an added precaution, we advise that players accompany each other when visiting the restroom. We are also actively reviewing and enhancing our security measures internally, and we will keep you informed of any developments. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in ensuring the well-being of our community. Third - AB is aware of the situation / message and has said that 1) he did not receive the email from Revolution and 2) it is too vague So....why didn't AB follow up to get more info? A message should have been sent. |
Evergreen was sold for substantially more than $7m. |
More than FCV could afford that's for sure. |
11.8 M per tax record. |
Loudoun United Field was $17.2 M. |
