Watch more dominoes fall.... They're not even waiting until the formal SC ruling.

The Act Blue awareness campaigns plus craziness like this *might* get people to call their representatives and insist on the Federal Law to protect women/abortion.

Schumer already said the Senate is going to hold a vote on what the House passed in the fall.

Manchin has said he will not allow it.

We’ll see what “I’m so shocked” Collins and Murkowski have to say. In the meantime, I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again. Put the screws to Manchin with his own constituents.

WV is a toxic shithole full of brainwashed republicans. I would not count of them to put pressure on Manchin to do the right thing here.

They’re brainwashed Republicans who can’t support themselves. Slow down the checks, cut the contracts, close the post offices, move the jobs out.

No kidding. If we actually took away all of the public assistance and other federal support they claim to be against, WV would collapse into a failed state.

Absolutely this.

I feel that The father should have to pay to incubate it somewhere, whether that be a medical lab or a another woman, a surrogate whoever they want. So instead of terminating the pregnancy it can just be moved somewhere else at his expense.

I feel like it should be surgically implanted in Samuel Alito.

No, that would be a toxic environment and would kill the embryo which has rights.

I think they shot themselves in the foot with this. They’ve awakened the beast.

What beast? What are y’all going to do? We TOLD YOU that you were not voting for Hilary v. Trump. We told you that your vote was for the Supreme Court that would decide cases for the next 30-40 years.

What are you going to do NOW?

So what? The Supreme Court is set for the next 30+ years. That money will do nothing.

Au contraire.

It’s really something to hear all the progressives clamor “where is the limiting principle???” when talking about substantive due process today.

I’m making myself read the damn thing and I don’t think I’ve ever been more disgusted. Apparently women have no fundamental rights to bodily autonomy that are rooted in the country’s history. Well. That sounds about right.

Expand the court.

We are well on our way to becoming a third-world country.

Also historians are pointing out that Alito’s main assumption is incorrect. In most states, abortion was legal before quickening. Deeply rooted in history.

+1

This is where I’m at. Republicans don’t give two sh**s about anyone in blue states. Burn WV down. See what happens to King Manchin then.

Abortion has been “legal” for far more centuries than it hasn’t. Women have always found ways to care for themselves and the families.

Abortion has been around for as long as humans have had sex. And it always will be. No matter what cons try to do to suppress it and how dangerous a procedure they make it by forcing it to go underground.

I did not take seriously the theories that this was leaked by a one of the conservative justices/clerks until I read this thread. But it makes a very compelling case that this probably came from the conservative side, most likely Alito/Thomas.

For today's GOP, it's the fetus inside her that was the more important entity. They would force girls like her to give birth.

Republicans are groomers and pedophiles who celebrate the forcible impregnation of children.

I mean, yeah. They’ve made it pretty apparent.
