The 14 billionaires in Trump’s plutocratic administration

So far, including Trump, his incoming administration will have 14 billionaires. Below is an initial list. It also includes several who are millionaires many times over and one who’s close to being a billionaire. Before MAGA jumps in to say both sides do it, no both sides do not have so many billionaires.

While it’s not unusual to have wealthy people in our highest levels of government, the emerging plutocracy of billionaires that Trump is creating is unprecedented. Thoughts?

But among US presidents, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, and JFK were all incredibly wealthy men when they took office.

There's an assumption in American politics that the super rich aren't beholden to special interests. Barack Obama and Bill Clinton had fairly normal finances when they were elected. Today, Obama and Clinton are among the richest men in America. They are each worth more than a quarter billion dollars - all of it "earned" when they left office.

Who really is more corrupt? The person that comes in to power rich, or the person that leaves it super rich?

But at least they understood where regular people were coming from when they started their Presidency. People who have been rich all their lives really don’t know what it’s like to live in the real world.

He lied about his net worth and worked the PR angle to get it reported he had a lot of money he didn’t have.
