Any thoughts on 2025 resolutions?

I'll go first

I lost 30 lbs starting in 2020. I have regained about 8. I am mid-50's female.

In 2025, I'm going to focus on gaining muscle rather than losing weight. Weight training app, high protein focus. I can measure progress on me360 app.

I would like to learn how to do a pullup.

I'm motivated by seeing older people age in a bad way. Prevent falls!!

Any success stories out there with this approach?

I would like to work on mobility/agility but I haven’t made a specific goal yet.

I need to stretch way more. My 44 year old body just doesn't recover anywhere close to how it did 5 years ago.

Have you seen the book Built to Move by Kelly Starrett. This is the focus with accompanying app

I'm starting online ballet classes. My goal is to be comfortable enough to go to an in person class at some point in 2025.

Thank you! I had not heard of it before. Are you using it?

I’m with you OP. I was a lifelong exerciser until early 50s. Injuries and surgery got me out of my routine , work is insane, I stopped doing strenght/mobility and I lost so much muscle and strength. I’ve been finding my way back, slowly and carefully, to rebuilding some strength. Nowhere near where I was before but beginning to feel stronger. Having muscle is so important as we age.’

I don't want to be "fat mom" anymore. It depresses me. I'm wasting my potential.
