| Make time to attend the fabulous dance and theater productions. Shows listed here: |
| Noticed that not all MS have a production. Is there a shortage of Drama and Dance coordinators / leaders? |
No-middle schools just chose to cut electives this past year due to budget cuts. |

Einstein’s A Year With Frog and Toad musical somehow didn’t make that list. This is with final weekend, with shows Friday and Saturday nights (11/16 and 11/17).
It’s got a fun jazzy score, and it’s adorably nostalgic for those of us who grew up with the books, or read them to our kids. |
Stop posting stupid things. Drama is an after school activity not an elective. Yes, there is a shortage of people willing to run drama. There is a stipend, but it’s not as much in MS as HS. |
Yeah, my daughter is a Junior at Poolesville and they've had three different directors in three years. |
Some of them are after the new year is all. These are only the shows through December but it is normal for the "winter" show to be early in the next calendar year particularly for MS. |
Have heard some MS even have two productions, one in Fall (Nov - Dec) and the other in Spring (April - May). |
Right. Eastern has a musical in Winter and a Shakespeare play just before the end of the school year. |
| Saw "Wizard of Oz" at Richard Montgomery last night and was really impressed. |
My position was cut, but thanks for playing. Drama is also an elective. So is dance. Try and keep up. |
Loiederman does two spoken dramas in the fall (one mainstage for grades 7 and 8 and one "blackbox" for grade 6) and then a musical in the apring. |
| Is Northwood's being held at Woodward HS or elsewhere? |
They are making those poor kids bus all over the county because the Woodward building isn't complete. They don't have an auditorium the whole time they're there and the Black Box theater they were promised isn't ready yet. Their musical will be held at Wheaton HS. |
