I saw the rosters went out for this.

I hear that this plays a big role in the player rankings. How much in recruiting, I do not know.

Lots of great players but also lots of snubs.

My question is, do these IL or BIC have relationships direct with club directors which gets these kids picked?
Basically, if you aren't on the right club, you are DOA?

I did a quick look, and some teams have zero rep while others, lower ranked have multiple kids invited.

Example, #12 Skywalkers, nobody, #14 Capital, nobody, yet 7 kids from #24 Monster?

Yes - some club directors have relationships, but the IL event isn't really that selective.

Regarding BIC, I don't think you're DOA if on the wrong club, but obviously it can be easier from the right clubs.

BIC gives a lot of priority to kids who did it the year before, and I've heard they snub kids who have declined previous invitations, so if you get an invite in middle school, you'd be wise to take it.

Capital 2027/2028 players are not allowed to miss practice and they have practices that conflict with this event. Sometimes it’s just logistics.

"Quality", who defines this? If there weren't any quality players other than the 90 that made it, we have no issue. Do I really think that is the case? Obviously not.

Miss a full game at next tourney and risk standing with the club, per explicit club policy in the handbook, and emphasized in email and newsletters.

Let's be clear:
Inside Lacrosse and BIC are not the golden tickets to recruitment! You don't need these events to get noticed.
What truly matters is ensuring your team is cohesive and working well together, which will elevate your performance and improve your team ranking. When you're in your recruiting year, showcasing strong teamwork in front of 30 to 40 coaches on the sidelines is what counts. The showcases may spotlight individual skills, but for Capital, the emphasis is on team chemistry, which is essential for the success of every individual. This is why Capital is so successful!! Their process works every year and they don't need five stars to get their top or lower tier players recruited.

To clarify, freshmen can never miss practice unless it’s an excused absence for something like an illness, important family event, etc. but sophomores are allowed a certain number of absences from practices in their summer season to attend recruiting events, clinics and camps. Juniors are also allowed excused absences for school visits and recruiting events. The emphasis during freshman year and the beginning of sophomore year is on playing well as a team and developing as a player.

You forgot on the emphasis part mandating that they show up for every club practice or else.

And do not forget grades. Extremely important and essential if shooting for a high academic school. Sadly, going to private school likely also helps a lot (w/ high academics).
