And where do you buy it?
Changing jobs and going from fully remote to hybrid. Middle aged, size 12. Help! Seems easy for DH, trickier for women. |
| Go to Parklane, H&M and Zara for fun basic blouses, sweaters, pants and blazers. Buy some nice jeans like Paige, Mother, etc... Buy some fun shoes from Steve Madden or Aldo. Mix and match your pieces. |
| Size 12 your bigger so I would try to be very conservative and cover up |
If you want to look like a try-hard college student. |
Do you mean Everlane? |
| Everlane is like 80% of my work wardrobe now that we’re business/smart casual. |
| Ann Taylor and Banana Republic |
I came here to say Everlane. You can mix it in with a few tops and accessories that have more personality. This year I bought several of their ribbed tees and the "dream knit" midi skirt plus a couple chunkier knits. It's all immediately in heavy rotation. I also like their denim which looks more restrained and professional than Madewell but at a similar price point. Though I do like Madewell for tees and they have a wide leg pant that so perfectly drapey while also being perfectly fitted at the waist. I also have a few Banana Republic pieces thought their quality is not as good as Everlane. I then have fun with purses and outerwear and jewelry so that my clothes aren't so boring! |
Ignore this nasty person. You can absolutely look great and stylish at this size and shop anywhere. |
| Everlane. |
| Thanks all! Appreciate the recs. |
| Everlane colors and styles mix esp well with H&M this season. |
Post Covid hybrid is still yoga pants and top that covers your butt |
| At least the size 12 probably knows the difference between “your” and “you’re” |
