Do you use a knife sharpener for your cooking knives?

How often do you sharpen?
How much does it help?

Literally never.

Yes, I use the Chef's Choice knife sharpener, once or twice a year. It makes a tremendous difference.

^ Adding, a sharp knife is a lot safer than a used-to-be sharp knife.

I just get new knives TBH.

Yes, I bought one about a year ago. I have some very hood knives and it makes a big difference.

You throw away a perfectly good knife because you are too lazy to make it sharp again?

I have a steel to put an edge back on, but I have someone else do the actual sharpening

I have an electric one from Cabela's, it's fantastic. I use it quarterly-ish but I cook a LOT.

Yes, on a regular basis, do a quick 15 second sharpening before cutting something that needs a really sharp knife.

Yep, order in 1 minute. Easy. Give away old on buy nothing.

If you invest in good quality knives, you should learn how sharpen on a stone or let a pro do it. Cheapo sharpening gadgets are not good for your knives.

So inconvenient to have to wait for new knives rather than taking a few minutes to sharpen the ones you have. Do you not know how to sharpen your knives?
